WEARSIDE League
by MALCOLM PRATT

RYHOPE  CW moved into fourth position in the Wearside League when they went nap at home to Kirkbymoorside.

Richard  Jordan  celebrated his return following a five-week lay-off by scoring twice in the opening 10 minutes.

Damien  Cox  reduced  the  visitors'  arrears but  there  was  no  stopping the Wearsiders  who  ended  5-1  winners with second-half goals  from  David Newby, Martin Metcalfe and James Fairley.

Jarrow  are third on goal difference from Ryhope CW after coming from behind to claim a point at Cleator Moor Celtic.

Glynn  Edwards  and Craig Padley gave the Cumbrians the cushion of  a two-goals lead  and  after Christie Elliott reduced the deficit, Liam Clarke  levelled in
the final minutes.
